The Fish of Maui

A Maori Legend Re-Writin  

Maui rows his whka out to sea looking for a spot to fish.

He rows day & night until finally maui found the perfect spot to fish.

Taking a deep breath maui thru’s his magical fish hook made from his grandmother's bottom jaw it sinks deeper & deeper thru the deep blue sea.

Maui waits & waits… Suddenly a small tage becomes a big tage then it becomes an evine bigger tage Maui heaves & heaves pulls & pulls.  

Slowly Maui’s magic fish hook raises & as it raises maui finds himself on an Island.

It was filled with tui’s & Piwaiwaka singing from in the misty green shaded trees.
